I am the Director of the Terascale Computing Facility and an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. I joined the Department of Computer Science in August 1999. My research interests are in the area of high performance computer systems. In particular, my work encompasses fault tolerance in large-scale distributed systems, network emulation, network routing algorithms, compiler directed frameworks and parallel simulation algorithms. I head the Computing Systems Research Laboratory and serve as a core faculty in the Laboratory for Advanced Scientific Computing and Applications.
